Living with a long-term illness can be isolating. Appointments come and go, but the harder, quieter work of everyday life happens between them — and it happens best when no one has to face it alone.

A neighbourhood gathering brings people together around what they share.
Our social and community engagement work exists to make sure people feel accompanied, not just treated. We bring people together around what they have in common: a diagnosis, a caregiving role, a neighbourhood, or simply the wish to feel a little less alone.
Through peer support groups, community events and shared activities, we help turn strangers into a network people can lean on — support that continues long after everyone goes home.
